Getting to Stavanger City Center from Stavanger Airport (SVG)

By Taxi: Available directly outside the terminal. The ride to Stavanger city center takes approximately 20-30 minutes and costs around 500-600 NOK.

By Bus: Take the Flybussen airport shuttle to Stavanger city center. Buses run frequently, and tickets can be purchased online (www.flybussen.no) or onboard.

Car Rentals are available at the airport.

Preikestolen Trailrun Logistics

Mandatory Race Registration/Check-in: 

Fri, 4 July, 18:00–19:00 – Race Registration/Check-in at Thon Maritim Hotel (Option 1 of 2)

Sat, 5 July, 9:00-9:45 - Registration/Check-in at Preikestolen Base Camp (Option 2 of 2)

Recommended Accommodations

It is recommended for Preikestolen Trailrun athletes to stay at Preikestolen Basecamp the night before the race. The startline and finishline are located at Basecamp, making it the most convenient option. Space is limited, so book early using the provided registration code: Rockman2025.

If you do not stay at Basecamp, please plan race morning transportation accordingly to arrive well before the start of the race (10:30 AM for Preikestolen Trailrun). NB! There will be an option to register/check-in Saturday morning from 09:00-9:45.

 

Getting To and From Preikestolen Basecamp by Bus

To Basecamp:

  • Direct buses to Preikestolen Basecamp run throughout the summer season. For the full schedule and pick-up locations, visit: Preikestolen Tourist Bus Info.

Returning to Stavanger:

  • Direct buses depart regularly from Basecamp back to Stavanger. The last return bus typically leaves around 20:00, so please plan your post-race logistics accordingly.

  • Departure Times from Basecamp:
    12:35, 13:15, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:15, 18:00, 18:15, 19:05, 21:30
